How to submit a Job to DSpace

  • ONLY if your job is "good" do you want to publish it. So first complete all required checks on your job: check that it has not failed and that it has converged properly, and that there are no negative frequencies.
  • goto the Scan portal click on "Projects" select your 2nd_year_lab project and then on "View Jobs". Find your job in the list of jobs and click on "Publish". The link "Publish" will change to "Dspace"

  • If submitting to D-Space gives an error the first time you try it, then in the blue list of tabs on the left hand side choose "Profile" and tick the box for "Publish to DSpace". It should now work!
  • Another problem that can occur is if you have already published the job and you are trying to publish it again, in this case renew the web-page and the button should update to Dspace.
  • Now click on the "Dspace" link that appears. You will see your entry in Dspace, this is unique to your job.

  • This page lists information about your job, and gives your job a unique digital identifier or DOI. In the red box on the image above is a url and the last number of this is your unique identifier, for example, my link is "http://hdl.handle.net/10042/31021" and my DOI is "31021"
  • In your wiki you add the following line where "to-xyz" is your unique identifier:
    {{DOI|10042/to-xyz}}
    thus I added this to my wiki
    {{DOI|10042/31021}}
